Associate Director of Technical Operation, Analytical Chemistry, Vertex Pharmaceuticals

CCarrie joined Vertex in April of 2017 leading drug substance analytical activities for commercial and late-phase projects. Before joining Vertex, she was Associate Director of Analytical Development at Concert Pharmaceuticals. She has also worked at Ironwood, Eisai and Johnson Matthey with scientific and technical focuses. Carrie has almost twenty years of analytical development experience in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. Her areas of expertise include CMC project management for all development activities from preclinical, clinical to product registration, analytical method development and validation, impurity identification by mass spectrometry and regulatory submission for FDA and EMA. Carrie received her Bachelor degree in Chemistry from University of Science and Technology in China and her Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry from Colorado State University. Carrie has been active in volunteering for local scientific organizations, besides CABA, she serves on Scientific Program Committee for PBSS (Pharmaceutical and BioScience Society International)-Boston member organization.
